Lens Replacement for Texas

Texas to Florida and back, by mail, with new lenses in your own frames.

Our lab is in Hialeah, Florida. You never have to go there. This page explains how your frames travel and what to expect.

How the trip works

After checkout we mail you a protective mailer. You pack your frames, send the mailer to our lab, and wait for the finished pair. We cut and fit the new lenses, check them, and ship your glasses home with tracking.

The mailer and the trip home are both part of standard shipping.

Pickup or drop-off

Free doorstep pickup is offered where it's available. We send you a personal link by email or text, and the note in the mailer has a QR code that does the same job. Wait for our confirmation before you leave the package outside.

If pickup isn't available at your address, drop the mailer off with the carrier shown on your label.

Packing your frames

Put your frames in the supplied hard case. Then pack the case securely in the mailer with the protective wrap.

When a rush is worth it

Your frames spend 5 to 7 business days in the lab, counted from the day they arrive. Transit to and from Florida comes on top of that, and we don't promise a set number of days.

A rush is $24.95 per order and covers every pair in it. It brings the lab time down to 3 to 4 business days. If you wear your glasses daily, keep a backup pair either way.

Big jobs, careful logistics

The Texas Capitol stands 302.64 feet tall, which the Texas State Preservation Board says is 14.64 feet taller than the U.S. Capitol. Its Sunset Red granite came from Granite Mountain in Burnet County, and workers shipped 188,518 cubic feet of it on a railroad built for the job.

Your frames are a much lighter load. Pack them well and we'll take it from there.

What you pay

Single vision and non-prescription pairs come to $99 at checkout, all in. If you need progressives or bifocals, those are $149, all in. Either way, the mailer, the trip home and a free remake within 30 days are included, along with polycarbonate lenses and standard anti-reflective coating.

Questions about sending frames from Texas

Do you have an office in Texas?

No. We sell online only. Our lab is at 2127 W 76th St, Hialeah, FL 33016, and there are no walk-ins.

How many days will shipping take?

It depends on the carrier and your address, so we don't quote a number. We let you know when your frames arrive at the lab and again when your finished glasses ship.

Can I request pickup at my house?

It depends on your address. Free doorstep pickup is offered where it's available, and availability follows the delivery address you enter at checkout. If it isn't available, you can drop the mailer off instead.

What if I want my glasses back sooner?

Choose expedited lab processing when you check out. It shortens lab time only, so shipping time stays the same.

What if the new lenses don't feel right?

Contact us within 30 days of delivery, before you send anything back. After a review, and a prescription recheck when needed, we approve one free remake for problems with our work or the fit.

Ready to start from Texas?

I've been making lenses for 17 years. The process is simple, and Texas frames get the same care as any other pair. Build your lenses online, or ask our team a question first.
